What Are The Four Steps To Creating Ads On Google?

To be able to subscribe to one of the ad distribution formulas via Google Ads, you must first have a Google account for your business. Once you have completed this registration phase, you will need to:

  1. Define a goal and a target audience
  2. Create an attractive ad
  3. Set a wise budget
  4. Configure payment method

Before going any further, remember that there are mainly two ways to configure your campaign on Google Ads. Aimed at beginners, the “Express Campaign” option is a highly assisted creation mode that avoids getting confused with the very technical parameters of the offer. The most experienced, on the other hand, can choose the second mode to have much greater control over many advanced parameters of a campaign. For obvious reasons of simplicity, we present the steps to follow to create a good Google Ads campaign with the first mode.

Step 1: Define A Goal And Choose The Target Niche

Go to the Google Ads home page and click on the “Get started now” tab in the upper right corner of the screen or the middle of the page. You will be automatically redirected to a page where you will be asked to define the main objective of your campaign. This allows Google’s AI to identify the audience you are targeting. It is also at this level that you choose the payment method by which you wish to run this campaign. Choosing your lens is crucial for your business.

Its relevance can make all the difference between an explosion of turnover and a simple waste of time and money. Always use the SMART method to set your goals. After defining your goal, you will be asked to fill in your business information on the next page. Then you can choose where your ads will be displayed.  It is legitimate to think you want your ads displayed on as many platforms as possible. But as paradoxical as it may seem, this is different from what will guarantee the most results or exposure.

Targeting accuracy is one of the most important guarantees of lead generation and conversion. If the activity of your company mainly concerns the Paris region, advertising it in Marseille is fine. Once you’ve determined which placements are most relevant, click next to specify the product or service you want to promote. This is where you choose the keywords associated with your ad in a search-type campaign.  As mentioned earlier, Google favors advertisers who know how to bring value to Internet users.

There is no point in being positioned first on a keyword that has nothing to do with your offer. This leads to an almost instantaneous rebound after the user’s click. Rebound, which by dint of reproducing, will end up being interpreted by Google as a sign of the irrelevance of your site. Your ranking will naturally drop. You can move on to the second step once you have defined all your keywords.

Step 2: Create An Engaging Google Ad

This is where you write the ad title and description. Use the preview field on the right of the screen to perfect everything before publishing. If you need help figuring out where to start, use the free templates to create your ad. Understanding your market and your audience’s concerns is critical to writing an impactful ad.

The more Internet users identify their needs in the description of your ad, the more likely they will click. So remember to define your customer avatar(s) precisely. Also, remember that a picture is worth more than 1,000 words. We can remember only 10% of the information we read three days ago. When images are associated with this information, a retention rate quickly climbs to 65%. We, therefore, recommend that you associate images with your descriptions.

Step 3: Set Your Budget

This is the trickiest step in the whole process. Determine the right amount to pay so your ad is published daily without the bill being too steep. In other words, control acquisition costs for optimal ROI. This is undoubtedly one of the most challenging subjects for any beginner. For example, when you opt for a PPC-type ad, you pay each time a user clicks on your ad. Daily and monthly spending limiters ensure you stay within your budget due to inattention. So don’t hesitate to use it.

Step 4: Configure Your Payment Method

You have to fill in your payment information to subscribe to the service. This is also the place to use any promo codes you may have. Then click “Submit,” and your Google Ads ad will be published. But don’t stop there. There is an additional step that allows you to optimize the results of your approach in a very significant way.

Google Analytics To Track The Performance Of Its Advertising Campaign

In marketing, you need to track various ads to optimize costs and improve results. Only data analysis allows you to identify with precision what works well and the zones that require modifications for more effectiveness. Regarding Google Ads ads, Google Analytics is the tool par excellence for such monitoring. In particular, it allows you to have precise data on the costs and clicks generated by a Google ad. To go further, we recommend that you configure the tags necessary to track the conversions generated by your ad.
